|Services at the Center for Voice|
Our physicians are board-certified otolaryngologists who specialize in voice disorders. They will often pursue conservative medical management of disorders when appropriate, but have excellent training in surgical interventions if needed. They consult closely with team members to individualize your care plan. Most insurance plans are accepted.
Voice Diagnostics and Treatment
This clinic serves the general population, as well as amateur and professional singers. We evaluate a variety of vocal disorders, including hoarseness, vocal fatigue, loss of voice, pain with speaking, or difficulty singing and reduced singing range. The speech pathologist will work closely with the otolaryngologist to diagnose the cause or etiology of the problem and develop a personalized care plan to improve vocal ability.
Vocal Health Presentations
This informational service was developed for educating small or large groups of those who use their voices excessively on a daily basis and require a high degree of vocal stamina. The presentations are tailored to meet the specific needs of each group, and include a review of the normal vocal mechanism, voice preservation techniques, optimizing vocal health, and recognition of signs of a voice problem that requires attention.
